The adoption was final on Valentine’s Day, but due to some new and obscure regulation in Russia, we have to wait an additional 30 days before we can take custody of our daughter.
In case you were wondering how this is affecting me, I just walked into our little-used dining room and spotted a cake carrier under a pile of some junk on the table. With half a cake still in it. From my birthday. On February 20th.
